The newest outdoor market in town

On June 7, 2025, Livesey Park in Fairhaven, MA, became the summertime home of the North Fairhaven Open Air Market, sponsored by the North Fairhaven Improvement Association. You can locate it on Google Maps here: MAP
The market is held on Saturdays from late-May through September. The hours are 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
In the market’s first season, a variety of local vendors offered hand made crafts, art, photography, fresh farm produce, honey, delicious baked goods, antiques and vintage collectibles, and more. Crafts included pottery, leather work, jewelry, crochet and sewing, wreaths, woodworking and wood carving, clothing and accessories, macramé, resin work, felting, and home decor made from sea shells, sea glass, driftwood, etc. Other products included cards, prints, stickers, plants and cut flowers, health, beauty and self care products, books by local authors, candles, soaps, pet treats and accessories, and locally produced food products such as sauces, preserves, sweets, and dipping oils.
Food concessions sold Japanese street food, Puerto Rican specialties, gourmet frilled cheese sandwiches, wood fire pizza, hot dogs, fresh squeezed lemonade, and kettle corn.

On many Saturdays weeks, Youth Vendors aged 11-16, sold items they have made themselves. Non-profit organizations were sometimes in attendance, promoting their activities and/or raising funds.
Up to 65 booths were set up each week, with a total of more than 170 different participants taking part throughout the season.
Booth spaces to fit a 10’x10’ pop-up canopy are $15 per week, for as many weeks as are chosen. The season has 16 Saturdays. Youth Vendor spaces are $5 per week, for ages 11 to 16, and it is required an adult is present that the booth. Non-profit groups and official Town of Fairhaven departments and committees may have one free spot each month.
The North Fairhaven Open Air Market does not accept vendors of brand name, commercially made direct sales products.
2026 Season
Our second season will consist of 18 weeks beginning May 23, 2026.
Vendors may download a copy of the application form later this fall.
The Market Manager of the North Fairhaven Open Air Market is volunteer Chris Richard, who created and ran the Huttleston Marketplace for about seven years before his retirement from the Fairhaven Office of Tourism in May 2024. The sponsoring organization is the North Fairhaven Improvement Association, Inc., which has been holding family events and community service since 1950.
